by May 31st, 2023

Chairman of the Jamaica Police Federation Corporal Rohan James is calling for members of the Constabulary Force to be given greater exposure to firearm training.

Speaking yesterday (May 30) at day one of the 80th annual joint conference of the Federation at the Ocean Coral Spring Hotel in Trelawny, Corporal James noted that the current training offered at the National Police College is insufficient.

He said officers need to be able to match the level of firepower being expended by criminals.

He suggested that a partnership for training be established with the Jamaica Rifle Association.
