Fire destroyed a medical facility in Runaway Bay, St Ann, this morning (June 12).

No casualty was reported.

Public Relations Officer for the Jamaica Fire Brigade Emilio Ebanks told IRIE FM news that they received the call about 4:50 A.M.

He said three units were dispatched to the location.

He noted that firefighters extinguished the blaze and are now investigating its origin.

Meanwhile, the cost of the damage has not yet been ascertained.

Doctor Paul Auden who practised at the location explained that the health facility was almost 60 years old.

He said he believes the fire could be linked to an electrical issue.
