Following a recent flare up of criminal activities in the Catherine South Division, police have named 8 persons of interest.
The men are being sought for questioning in connection with a series of violent incidents in the Gregory Park and Banga Gully communities.
In naming the men, acting commanding officer for the St. Catherine south police, superintendent Hopton Nicholson said they could assist with investigations into a string of crimes such as murder, shooting, and arson.
He said the urgency of the situation was underscored by a shooting incident in Watson Grove on Sunday, where a man was killed and a woman wounded.
He said residents are being urged to remain vigilant and to contact law enforcement with any information that may help in the ongoing investigation.
