Local Government Minister Desmond Mckenzie has indicated there will be strict adherence to new financial regulations which govern Municipal Corporations.  He says the Corporations are to submit monthly reports to the minister on expenditure and funds will not be released if the entities fail to submit them.

The Local Government Minister states that this will become effective at the end of February. The minister says since assuming office, he has not seen those reports .

Mr. McKenzie who was speaking at a   recent forum of councillors in ST Catherine insisted  the guidelines must be followed.
