Jamaica is receiving significantly less oil from Venezuela under the Petrocaribe agreement.
Foreign Affairs Minister, Kamina Johnson Smith says production has reduced in Venezuela which ultimately affects the number of barrels of oil delivered to Jamaica daily.
She says the original quota of barrels per day was approximately 23,000 to 24,000. However, that has fallen to about 1300.
She was speaking at a press conference at the ministry’s headquarters in Kingston this morning (Apl 20).
