As heavy rains continue to lash sections of eastern Jamaica, one Portland resident is appealing for help, after heavy winds and rain left her home flooded out and roofless.

Speaking with Irie FM News, one resident of Long Road, Nadeen Robinson says a landslide contributed to her home being flooded.

Ms. Robinson says her children’s school books and uniforms were damaged by flood waters.

She says the roof of her house was lifted by strong winds which resulted in her furniture and household appliances being damaged.
