Mr. Gordon says, three trucks are in the area collecting the solid waste that accumulated, in the wake of the flood rains, and will do so for the next 2 days.

And, the Opposition has urged the government to move to pass the building bill.

Opposition Spokesman on Local Government, Noel Arscott, says a number of issues that arose, as a result of the weekend flood rains could have been avoided.

Mr. Arscott says, the bill has been in gestation for several years, and the time has come for it to be brought to the fore for implementation.

He has also urged the government to realize that climate change is a factor that must be considered.
