Bunting & Montague clash over used vehicle policy

The issue of the procurement of used vehicles for the police force led to a heated debate in parliament this afternoon (May 3).

Opposition Spokesman on National Security Peter Bunting raised issue with the policy that is being used by the government and the terms under which the successful bidder was chosen.

The government had announced that it would be purchasing used vehicles to increase the mobility of the force.

Mr. Bunting states that questions swirl around the preferred bidder.

National Security Minister Robert Montague says the ministry is following the procurement procedures contained in the hand book that governs the process.
