The West Kingston police recovered an illegal firearm today (May 10).

Reports are that about 9:40 a.m. an operation was conducted and a premises was searched.

Police say, one Remington 12 gauge shot gun was reportedly found, hidden under a cellar.

No one was arrested in connection with the find.

Police say this is the third gun seized in the division in 2 weeks.

Police have intensified their monitoring of the area, following a recent flare up of violence.
