A comprehensive assessment will be conducted on Friday on the damage to infrastructure across the island due to heavy rainfall.
Local Government Minister, Desmond McKenzie says local authorities in conjunction with the National Works Agency (NWA) as well as other supporting entities will be involved in conducting the assessment.
Meantime, $175 m was made available to municipal corporations yesterday to be spent in Clarendon, Manchester, Portland, St. Elizabeth, St. Thomas and Westmoreland.
Mr. McKenzie says further funding will be provided to the St. Ann municipal corporation to deal with damage.
He was speaking at a press conference at the Office of the Prime Minister this afternoon (May 16).
