Several passengers from a bus in St. Mary, are breathing a sigh of relief, after they were rescued from being washed into the Wag Water river.

This after the bus was covered by a landslide.

Member of Parliament for Central St. Mary, Dr. Morais Guy, says the bus was removed, by a tractor

Dr. Guy says, although Port Maria was flooded, it was not as bad, as on previous occasions.

He says some roadways are being reopened.

And, Western St. Mary was also badly affected, by the flood rains.

Member of Parliament for Western St. Mary, Robert Montague, says three bridges have been affected, two roads are cut in two and others are blocked.

He said the prospect road is damaged, while in Jacks River, at one section the river has taken a piece of the road.

Meanwhile the Western S. Mary MP says while the rain continues reports of crop damage are now coming in.
