Several areas in Trelawny have been affected by flooding and blocked roadways.

Administrators of Muchette High and Wakefield Primary were forced to suspend classes for the day, as a result of blocked roadways and rising water levels.

Councillor for the Wakefield Division Jonathan Bartley says a number of roads have been rendered impassable.

Mr. Bartley says a number of homes were also flooded.
