Late goals from Jamie Lynch and Ewan Grandison yesterday saw Portmore United rally to secure a share of the points in their top of the table group b’ clash with Trinidad side San Juan Jabloteh in the Caribbean football Union (CFU) finals at the Haseley Crawford Stadium in Trinidad.
Lynch struck in the 86th minute and Grandison a minute later to earn Portmore a 2-all draw.
Former Portmore United player Adrian Reid had earlier put the Trinidad team in front on 33 minutes from the penalty spot………………the lead was doubled on minute 41 by Vurlon Mills.
San Juan Jabloteh however topped the group with a better goal average after both teams ended on 4 points.
Meanwhile two times defending champions central with Reggae Boys goalkeeper Ryan Thompson suffered a 1-nil loss to Dominican Republic side Cibao to top group “a”.
Cibao will take on San Juan Jabloteh in the final on Sunday while central will face Portmore in the third place decider.
All four semi-finalist advance to the Concacaf League, with the Caribbean champions to progress fully into the Concacaf Champions League .
