Double Olympic champion Elaine Thompson have joined forces with sports apparel manufacturer Nike to launch a female collection of sneakers called the Nike beautiful x powerful (NBX).

The shoe line also celebrates Thompson’s hard work, dedication and victories. The assortment that becomes available June 1, includes five Nike footwear icons in crisp, white perforated leather with hints of gold.

Each sneaker is also embellished with Elaine’s signature and her mantra “one life, one chance”.

The 24-year-old Jamaican became the first woman in 28 years to win the sprint double at the Rio Olympic Games when she won both the 100 and the 200 meters.

She says she wants to leave a legacy that inspires younger female athletes to follow their dreams.
