West Indies cricketers levels 3 match ODI series against Afghanistan

The West Indies cricketers levelled the three match one Day International series against Afghanistan after recording a 4 wickets win in the second ODI yesterday at the Darren Sammy national Stadium.

Wicket keeper and man of the match Shai Hope struck an unbeaten 48 as the Caribbean side chasing 135 runs raced to 138 for 6 with 10 overs to spare.

Opener Evin Lewis supported with 33, while Jamaican Rovman Powell scored 17. This against the spin of Rashid Khan 3 for 26, with Gulbadin Naib snatching 2 for 15.

Earlier Afghanistan batting first were restricted to 135 all out in 37 overs and 3 balls, with Naib steering the ship with a half century 51.

Alzari Joseph, Captain Jason Holder, Ashley Nurse and Shannon Gabriel all got two wickets. The third and deciding game will be played on Wednesday.
