Montague: All deceased cops to get full honour funeral

by June 12th, 2017

The National Security Ministry has made adjustments to policy relating to funerals for police officers.

National Security Minister Robert Montague announced yesterday (June 11) that full honour funerals will no longer be reserved for only cops who die in the line of duty.

Speaking at the thanksgiving service for the late ACP Winchroy Budoo, Mr. Montague noted that a police officer is always on duty.

The minister said he gave instructions to have the old vehicle used to transport the bodies of officers replaced with a new hearse.
