Vincentian pacer Kesrick Williams has been drafted in the West Indies squad as cover for injured Barbadian pace bowler Miguel Cummins for tomorrow’s 3rd and deciding One Day International against Afghanistan at the Darren Sammy Cricket Stadium in St Lucia.
Williams played in all three T/20 internationals against Afghanistan in St Kitts helping the Windies complete a 3-nil sweep of the series.
He could make his One Day International debut in the day and night game, where the Windies will be hoping to close out the series with victory for a 2-1 series triumph.
The Windies lost the opening game by 63 runs, then rebounded to score a 4 wicket victory in the 2nd game on Sunday.
