Minister of National Security, Robert Montague, says five of Jamaica’s most wanted were picked up by police, last week.

He says one could be charged with murder by Wednesday.

He is 36-year-old Audley Duvall, otherwise called ‘Dreama’, of Boscobel Housing Scheme in St. Mary.

Duvall was listed as wanted at a press conference at the Office of the Commissioner of Police on Tuesday, June 13.

Mr Montague declined to name the others, but says investigations are on-going.

The minster was speaking at the launch of the ministry’s “We Transform” rogramme this morning (June 20) at the Police Officers Club in St. Andrew.

And, the Ministry of National Security is putting plans in place, to reintegrate juveniles who are in correctional facilities, with the implementation of a ‘We Transform’ programme.

The programme, which is under the theme “Save a child, change a nation”, is aimed at reducing juvenile offences and ultimately crime and violence.

The “We Transform” programme targets 242 children aged 12 to 17 in four juvenile centres.

It is being supported by several corporate entities and NGO’s, including Hawkeye, USAID, JMMB and the Chase fund, which is contributing $7. 7 m.

State Minister in the National Security Ministry Pearnel Charles Junior, says he hopes this will become a flag ship programme in the ministry, to enhance the ministry’s youth empowerment initiative.
