Dhoni steers India to low-scoring win over Windies

The West Indies will have to win the remaining two games in order to level the five-match One Day International series against India after going down by 93 runs at the Sir Viv Richards Stadium in Antigua to fall into a 2-0 deficit.

The Indians after being asked to take first strike made 251 for 4 with Man of The Match Mahendra Singh Dhoni top-scoring with 78 from 79 balls.

Opener Ajinkya Rahane also got among the runs with a patient 72 at while sharing in a 3rd wicket partnership worth 66 runs with Yuvraj Singh who made 39.

Miguel Cummins – 2-56 – led the Windies attack.

Chasing 252 for victory, the home team in reply was bundled out for just 158 in just 38.1 overs.

Jason Mohammed provided most resistance with 40 from 61 while Rovman Powell added 30 as Kuldeep Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin proved to be the pick of the Indian bowlers with 3 wickets each.

Final scores, India 251 for 4, West Indies 158.

Game 4 is on Sunday.
