The government is putting more money into the Get the Guns campaign.

National Security Minister Robert Montague says persons are able to surrender illegal guns for cash under the initiative.

He told the Manchester Chamber of Commerce last evening that there has been a 30 percent increase in the seizure of illegal weapons as a result of the get the guns campaign.

Mr. Montague says citizens who surrender illegal weapons and those who provide information should be paid.
