The JAAA have dropped three members from the Jamaican squad named on Monday for the upcoming IAAF World Championships in London.
World U18 110m hurdles champion DeJour Russell, 200m sprinter Kenroy Anderson and 400m hurdler Andre Clarke were all 4th place finishers at the National Championship but were included on the list for the event which takes place from August 4-13.
Leroy Cooke (JAAA Director of Records) in a press release said “some alternates” were inadvertently named on the team.
The squad which includes world record holder Usain Bolt and Rio Olympics double gold medal winner Elaine Thompson, will be at a training camp in Birmingham which ends on August 1.
Donald Quarrie has been named as Technical Leader while Maurice Wilson is listed as head coach with support to come from Michael Clarke, Jerry Holness, Paul Francis, Lennox Graham, David Riley, Julian Robinson and Fitz Coleman.
