Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovich out for the rest of the season

by July 26th, 2017

Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovich has now confirmed that he will be out of action for the rest of the season.

The former world number one two days ago confirmed he would miss the U.S open due to an elbow injury.

Djokovic was trailing in the second set of his Wimbledon quarter-final against Tomas Berdych this month when he was forced to retire.

After losing his number one ranking to Andy Murray last November, the 30-year-old has slipped to fourth in the ATP rankings, winning just two titles this year.

He announced he will not compete again in 2017 as he seeks full rehabilitation for an elbow injury, meaning he will not only miss the US Open and the ATP World tour finals as well.
