by July 28th, 2017

Three athletes have been added to Jamaica’s team to the IAAF World Championship in London.

The three, high-jumper Kimberley Williamson, shot putter Gleneve  Grange and 800m runner Kimarra McDonald, although not meeting the automatic qualifying standard in their respective event, have been invited to participate in the championships by the IAAF on the basis that they are ranked in the top 32 in the world.

The JAAA is now making every effort to facilitate their participation with respect to visa procurement, travel and other logistics issues.

The national team is already in Birmingham at a pre-event training camp where the bulk of the team has assembled except for the MVP athletes and superstar Usain Bolt.
