Jamaica Visually Impaired Cricket Association names 14 member team for WI Blind Cricket Championship

A 14 member squad has been named by the Jamaica Visually Impaired Cricket Association(JAVICA) that will represent the island at the upcoming West Indies council for Blind cricket championship in Guyana.

The team comprises five b1 or totally blind members in Shavane Daley, Jason Ricketts, Daemion McLean, Marlon Cole and Damion Rose.

Also included are three b2 or partially blind players…….Tyrese Harriot, Alvin James and Gregory Stewart.

Denal shim is among the 6 b3 or partially sighted players on the team.

Finalizing the roster are Daniel Garvey, Ajhi Anderson, Mark Sweeney, Oshane Fortella and Lo-Shane Myles.

the tournament  scheduled to run from august 20 to 28,  will be used to select a 17 member west indies team for the blind cricket 40 overs World Cup in the United Arab Emirates in 2018.
