Beijing Olympic 400 metre hurdles champion Melanie Walker is heading back to the Stephen Francis led MVP camp.
Walker who also won the 400 metre hurdles at the 2009 world Championships in Berlin and silver in Daegu in 2011 parted company with MVP back in 2012 after the London Olympics to fulfill her ambitions in the 100 metres hurdles.
She made a surprise appearance at the National Senior trials in 2015 where she produced a disappointing effort in the event at the time competing under the Glen Mills led racers track club banner.
Coach Stephen Francis is hopeful that on her return she decides to run the 400 metres hurdles.
Walker has a personal best in the women’s 400 metres hurdles of 52.42 seconds which she achieved in 2009 and in 2006 ran her fastest 100 metres hurdles of 12.75 seconds.
