Jermaine Mckraken and Netball Jamaica part ways

by August 8th, 2017

Netball Jamaica will soon be on the hunt for a new head coach and has appointed Sasher-Gaye Henry and Marvette Anderson to continue the programme for the rest of the year.

This follows the resignation of Jermaine Mckracken who was appointed head coach in March.

Mckraken was on a six-month probationary period, which would have ended in September and netball Jamaica said her continuation as head coach of the senior sunshine girls was contingent on a final appraisal of her performance over the period.

In her lone series as head coach the Sunshine Girls and Barbados played out to a one all draw in a three test series in Kingston.

Mckraken also struggled to find common ground with several sunshine girls on several issues including training regime at the start of her stint.

This led to the suspension of attacking players Shanice Beckford, Khadijah Williams and Nicole Dixon following a training session at the national stadium gym in May.
