Jamaica’s national senior football squad departs the island this afternoon for port of Spain where they will take on Trinidad and Tobago in a friendly international on Thursday at the Hasely Crawford stadium.
This will be the first international friendly between both teams in four years and whilst Trinidad is preparing for world cup qualifiers against Honduras and Panama next month, coach Theodore ‘Tappa’ Whitmore is using the opportunity to build a core of local players .
The players travelling this afternoon are Amal knight ,Jamie Robinson, Ladale Richie, Javain Brown, Rosario Harriott, Alex Marshall, Kaheem Parris, Jermaine Johnson, Marvin Morgan, Vishinul Harris, Fabian Reid, Leonard Rankine, Shamar Nicholson, Shaven Paul, Michael Binns, Ewan Grandison, Ricardo Morris and Rondee Smith.
The Michael Rickettes led delegation include coach Theodore Whitmore, assistant coach Jerome Waite, goalkeeper coach warren Barrett, physical trainer Lamar Morgan and equipment manager Norman Stone.
The reggae Boyz will continue their rebuilding process with a game against Canada in Canada on September 2.
