Chris Gayle named ambassador of T/10 Cricket

Explosive Jamaican and West Indies batsman Chris Gayle has been named as a brand ambassador for a proposed introduction of a T10 cricket competition in Asia later this year.

The new 90-minute format of the game, being promoted by t-ten sports management is expected to be hosted in the United Arab Emirates from December 21 to 24 and is expected to feature several other game-changing innovations.

Gayle will be joined at the six-team tournament by the likes of Virender Sehwag, Shahid Afridi and Kumar Sangakkara.

Overall the tournament is expected to feature 50-international cricketers accompanied by fledgling talent from associate nations.

Gayle in the meantime will be in action later this evening for second place St. Kitts and Nevis patriots in the top of the table Caribbean Premier League clash against leaders Trinbago Knight Riders.

Both teams have already confirmed their places in the last four.
