Police Federation rejects wage offer

by August 29th, 2017

The Police Federation has rejected the government’s six percent wage offer for the 2017/2019 contract period.

The Police Federation is the second group to reject government’s offer.

Last week, the Jamaica Teachers Association opted to reject the claim proposed by the Ministry of Finance.

The Jamaica Police Federation met with the Finance Ministry yesterday to begin wage negotiations.

Chairman of the Federation, Sergeant Raymond Wilson says the group was disappointed with the proposal put forward by the government.

Sergeant Wilson says the government is expected to make another offer in two weeks.
