Newly appointed opposition spokesman on national security, Fitz Fackson says he will be meeting with stakeholders in the industry to get a feel of critical demand areas to boost the country’s security capabilities.
Speaking with journalists this afternoon (Sep 28) Mr. Jackson says his first order of business is to sit down with Commissioner of Police and Chief of Defence Staff.
He says he will also be looking at the adequacy of policies being pursued by the government to ensure that they are achieving their goals.
He says his party will not be politicising security.
Mr. Jackson adds that he will be seeking to build trust among stakeholder groups.
