The Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) has pulled its buses from the number 81 route.

This is due to roadblocks and reports of violence in the Rollington Town area of East Kingston.

JUTC Communications Manager Cecil Thoms says there was a shooting in the area, and angry residents blocked the road.

He says the JUTC will check with the police about when the situation has calmed down before resuming bus service.
