Prime Minister Andrew Holness has stressed that Dr. Norman Dunn has the full support of the JLP team, as he bids once more for the chance to become Member of Parliament for South East St. Mary.

A by-election for the constituency is to be held on October 30, with Dr. Dunn being challenged by the PNP’s Dr. Shane Alexis.

In the previous general election, Dr. Dunn lost marginally to the PNP’s Dr. Winston Green. Dr. Green’s recent death resulted in the need for a by-election.

Speaking at a JLP meeting in the constituency yesterday (Oct 1) Mr. Holness lamented Dr. Dunn’s loss to Dr. Green.

He pointed out that despite the loss Dr. Dunn remained committed to the people of South East St. Mary.

The Prime Minister also indicated that Dr. Dunn would be a valuable addition to the team in Gordon House.
