Under 17 Reggae Girls heads into camp

In the buildup the Caribbean under 17 championship in Haiti next week, Jamaica’s under 17 Girls will be heading into a pre-tournament training camp tomorrow.

The Xavier Gilbert coached girls will play in group f’ against Trinidad & Tobago and Bermuda in the championship which runs from October 16 to 22nd.

The camp comes ahead of their departure to Haiti on Monday, 16 with the main aim being to qualify for the Concacaf qualifiers.

Meanwhile group g includes Cuba, Haiti and Puerto Rico.

The winners of both groups automatically qualify for the Concacaf round of world cup qualifiers and the two runner-up teams will play-off for the third spot.

The winners will also play for the under 17 girl’s championship title. The reggae girls are defending champions.
