Member of Parliament for West St. Thomas James Robertson says work will be done on roads in the community, the conditions of which sparked two days of protest.
Scores of commuters were left stranded, as some St. Thomas residents blocked the main road from Morant Bay to Trinityville for a second day over poor road conditions.
The residents are demanding that the road be repaired.
Residents came out as early as 3:00 a.m. to block the main road in several areas.
The Robert Lightbourne High school had to close its doors as students and teachers were unable to gain access.
The road was later cleared.
Meanwhile, Mr. Robertson admits that roads in cedar valley and Trinityville are the worst for any Parish Council division across the island.
He says while work has been planned, he is calling for temporary works in the meantime.
