1 year countdown to ICC 2018 Women’s World T/20 championship begins today

The one-year countdown to the official start of the International Cricket Council ICC 2018 women’s World T/20 championship begins today.

The event which is set for November 3 – 25, next year in the Caribbean will position the region as a premier sport destination and one which will assemble the best women’s cricketers along with the best brands in world cricket.

This will be the sixth edition of the ICC women’s World Twenty/20, and the second hosted by the West Indies (after the 2010 edition).

The ICC confirmed that this would be the first T/20 tournament that uses the umpire decision review system, with one review per side. The West Indies women led by Jamaican Stafanie Taylor are the defending champions.
