Leon Bailey has won the BundesligaFanatic.com Player of the Month for October after having quite an impact across match days 8-10 for Bayer Leverkusen.
Bailey since being substituted at halftime in the 3-1 loss to Bayern Munich on match day 1 has kept Karim Bellarabi out of the side with his form and has been one of the driving forces behind the Werkself’s rise, which sees them just three points off the top four.
The 20-year old attacking midfielder was arguably the Man of the Match in the 2-2 home draw with Wolfsburg and scored the goal that put Leverkusen 2-1 up in the 5-1 comeback win against Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Bailey then finished the month with another Man of the Match performance against Köln in the 2-1 Rheinderby win where he scored the equalising goal with a fine finish after rounding keeper Timo Horn.
Bailey returns to action when Leverkusen host 2nd place RB Leipzig on Saturday.
