Action on day one of the inaugural Jamaica Classic NCAA men’s college basketball pre-season tournament saw Florida State easing to a 67-43 win over Fordham at the Montego Bay Convention Centre.
The Seminoles, who improved to 2-0 in pre-season, were led by freshman Mflondu Kabengele who compiled 15 points and 9 rebounds.
He was assisted by junior Terrence Mann who went 7 of 9 from the field to end with 14 points.
Kabengele and Mann were the only two players in double figure scoring as the Seminoles utilized a suffocating defense that limited the Rams to 12 made field goals and a .231 field goal shooting percentage while blocking nine shots and recording 12 steals.
