Police taking zero tolerance approach to breaches of traffic laws during Christmas- DCP Blake

Deputy Commissioner of Police Clifford Blake says traffic police will be taking a zero tolerance approach to breaches of the road traffic laws during the Christmas season.

Speaking at a press conference in Kingston DCP Blake who is in charge of Strategic Operations said additional officers will be deployed on the streets.

 

 

DCP Blake said the police will be issuing tips to the travelling public on how to stay safe on the roadways this Christmas.

He pointed to a recent robbery incident in which the robbers used a vehicle that had flashing lights.

DCP Blake said the use of any device on a vehicle that would make persons mistake it for an emergency vehicle, is prohibited.

Flashing lights are only to be used by emergency vehicles.
