Sports Administrator Michael Fennell honoured by Calabar Old Boys Association

Highly regarded sports administrator Michael Fennell was last night honoured by the Calabar Old Boys Association (COBA) at the Spanish Court Hotel in new Kingston.

The ceremony for the long serving sporting administrator coincided with the closing of his tenure as President of the Jamaica Olympic Association (JOA) in June of this year, after 40 years of service.

Fennell who has served as chairman of the commonwealth games federation for nine years and as president for eight years, was also recognized specifically for his work in pushing the development and growth of sports in Jamaica.

Former Prime Minister of Jamaica and Fennell’s classmate, PJ Patterson delivered the keynote address.
