4 found burnt to death in Westmoreland

The Westmoreland police have identified the 4 people found dead inside a partially burnt house in Little London district yesterday (Nov 24).

Dead are 32 year old construction worker, Alwayn Clarke otherwise called Ziggy; his wife 47 year old Suzan Clarke, a Swedish  national; his younger brother, 30 year old Derron Walters, all of Little London; as well as family friend Wayne Thompson who is from St. Elizabeth.

According to the Little London police about 4:30 p.m. yesterday, a resident in Blyton district in Little London raised an alarm after fire was seen coming from the house.

The fire brigade and police were summoned.

Assistant Superintendent of the Westmoreland Fire Department Dave Goldbourne says, following cooling down operations the 4 bodies were discovered in a room.

Meantime, Brittany Peirce, sister of Alwayn and Derron, says its believed the 4 were shot before being left to burn in the house.

And, Alwayn’s father Errol Clarke says his son was a jovial and friendly man.
