International dancehall artiste Shaggy launched his highly anticipated biennial charity concert Shaggy and Friends on Wednesday evening.
British singer Sting, American rappers Fetty Wap and Wyclef Jean will headline the show come January 2018, along with local acts to include Wayne Wonder, Third World, Barrington Levy, Chakka Demus and Pliers, Capleton, Christopher Martin, Aidonia, Dexta Daps and others.
Shaggy through his Make A Difference Foundation, has donated and repaired more than 450 pieces of equipment worth over US$1.6 million to the Bustamante Hospital for Children.
Since 2009, Shaggy has been committed to raising funds for the only children’s hospital in the English speaking Caribbean.
The 6th staging of Shaggy and Friends is slated to take place on January 6 on the lawns of Jamaica House in Kingston.
