Two of the 6 persons shot and wounded at a party in Oracabessa, St. Mary this morning (Dec 22) have been transferred to the Kingston Public Hospital in critical condition.

Three of the 6 remain hospitalised in St. Mary in stable condition.

The sixth person has been treated and released.

Head of the Area 2 police, ACP Norman Heywood says the 6, including one woman, were shot just minutes before one o’clock this morning.

ACP Heywood says investigators are following several leads.

He says the St. Mary police are not considering any ban on parties, following today’s incident.

However, a review and risk assessment will be conducted for all public gathering events.
