Several key players in Mountain View have joined forces and made a pledge for peace in the area.

This follows a walk through, by the Peace Management Initiative (PMI) the police and Members of Parliament Fayval Williams and Julian Robinson.

The Mayor of Kingston, Delroy Williams also participated in the tour.

The walk through was organized, following a flare-up of gun violence in recent weeks.

The latest violent incident occurred on Monday, in which a man and a woman were shot and wounded.

Intervention specialist at the PMI Milton Tomlinson says the walk through was geared towards getting people to have dialogue as a means of ironing out their differences.
