General Secretary of the JAAA and Jamaica Olympic association second vice president Garth Gayle has been appointed to the Pan American Sports Organisation (PASO) coaching and Education Commission.

According to JOA boss Christopher Samuda, who was recently appointed to the Ethics Commission, Gayle will bring to the table a wealth of knowledge and technical expertise in sport education, an unwavering commitment to his responsibilities and a practical vision that is not only regional but global”

Paso is responsible for the staging of the pan American Games which is the region’s premier multi-sport games.

Gayle who is also a member of the Technical Commission of the North America, Central American and Caribbean athletic association (NACAC) will attend his first meeting overseas later this month and will be joined by respected leaders of member national Olympic committees of Paso.
