The main road in the vicinity of Reynolds Pier in Ocho Rios has been reduced to single lane access.

Mayor of St. Ann’s Bay Michael Belnavis says teams are working to clear the landslides.

Meantime, Councillor for the Dry Harbour Division in St. Ann Carlton Ricketts is appealing for understanding from flood affected residents.

This as the municipality and other agencies are over whelmed with responding to citizens affected by recent heavy rains and flooding.

Overnight rains have resulted in the Lakeside gully over flowing, and flood waters going in the homes of residents of the Lakeside Park scheme.

And, flooding in the Queen Heights community has left several residents marooned.

Councillor Ricketts says he aware of the situation, and that emergency crews are now in the area, providing what assistance they can, despite the continuing rain fall.
