Jamaica gets blessing from International Rugby Body

Scotland Harland the regional Development Manager for Rugby America’s North and Mike Luke the training manager for World Rugby, have given Jamaica a passing grade for the structure of the sport locally.

Both representatives wrapped up a local five day strategic development and training seminars yesterday, with visits to schools Westmoreland, St Ann, Kingston and St Andrew and was pleased with the development of the sport in the island.

Harland and Luke also met with the Board of Directors of the Jamaica Rugby Football Union(JRFU), and local rugby referees also benefited from their visit through the introduction of the new training models of the sport.

Jamaica Rugby Football Union president Jerry Benswick told Irie FM Sports that he was satisfied with their visit.
