Former Jamaica & Windies batsman Xavier Marshall to represent USA

Former Jamaica and West Indies batsman Xavier Marshall is in the USA 14-man squad for the 2018 Regional Super50 which gets underway on January 31 in Antigua and Barbados.

Marshall last played in regional competition in 2003 when he represented Jamaica.

He will face the Jamaica Scorpions in the upcoming tournament as both teams will contest Group B along with Guyana Jaguars, Leeward Islands Hurricanes and English county side Kent.

The USA will face the Jaguars in their opening game on February 2 at the Sir Viv Richards Stadium in Antigua.

Marshall played seven Tests and 24 One Day Internationals for the West Indies and scored two half centuries.

He made his ODI debut against Australia in January 2005 and in june was named West Indies’ Youth Cricketer of the year.

His lone ODI century was a magnificent undefeated 157 against Canada in 2008.
