by January 22nd, 2018

The Jamaica Football Federation is continuing its building of a core of instructors who will train coaches of youth players by hosting a CONCACAF Train the Trainers Course.

Hopeton Gilchrist, Patrick Graham and Andrew Edwards are the Jamaican representatives who will be among the 16 participants from Anguilla, Bahamas, Bermuda, Dominica, Montserrat and Turks and Caicos.

The course will be led by five licenced CONCACAF Instructors and gets underway with an opening ceremony at 9:15am at the UWI-Captain Horace Burrell Center of Excellence

It falls under the JFF’s strategic plan in which the coaches who benefit from the training will over time will utilise similar methodologies and structure to the training program of this age group island wide.

The JFF, as part of the strategic plan, has been in discussions with Insports about the unveiling of a program to train primary school coaches.

Last November three Jamaican coaches, Andre Virture, Wendell Downswell and Davion Ferguson did a similar course in Barbados.
