Students and the administrative staff at the Bog Walk High School in St. Catherine were in a solemn mood today following the death of a grade 8 student over the weekend.

15 year old John Reynolds was killed on Friday January 26, along with his father and a woman, in Victoria district.

Vice Principal at the Bog Walk High School Pamela Hines says a team from the Education Ministry along with school counsellors spoke with students and teachers as they were distraught.

She says young Reynolds was a good student.

Mrs. Hines says a past student conducted devotional exercise this morning, and examinations, which were scheduled to begin today, were postponed for the grade 8 classmates of Reynolds.

She adds that the other parent of Reynolds visited the school and also received counselling.
