by January 29th, 2018

Former World record holder Asafa Powell will make his first appearance indoors since copping silver at the 2016 World Indoor Championships, when he competes in the 60metres at Millrose Games in New York this Saturday.

Powell in his first outdoor appearance of the season on Saturday at the grace Jackson Queen’s track meet finished fourth.

Following a lengthy layoff due to an Achilles injury, which he suffered last year, Powell is looking to make a return to the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Birmingham in March and he told Irie Fm sports that being back at the MVP track club where it all started for him his training has been progressing well.

Also competing at this Saturday’s Millrose Games is the reigning Olympic and world championships 110 meters high hurdles champion Omar Mcleoud.
